ACCOMMODATION BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PAYMENT
All rates are quoted in New Zealand Dollars on a per night basis and include GST of 15%. All accounts must be settled directly with Castaways Resort in New Zealand Dollars. All accommodation must be made in full on the day of arrival. For multiple room bookings & packages we require full payment at time of booking. All reservations paid for by credit card will attract a 2.5% surcharge. American Express Credit Cards attract a 3.1% surcharge.
REFUNDS
Refunds will only be made to the original credit card or account debited for the original transaction. Castaways Resort will not be in any breach of this agreement or in any way liable, if it is prevented from complying with the supply of accommodation and other related services by reason of Act of God, Act of Public Enemy, War, Earthquake, Riot, Fire, Storm, Flood, Explosion, Compliance with any Law of Government Restraint Order, Rule Regulations, Strikes, Lock Outs or any other cause not reasonably within the control of the hotel.
CHECK-IN
Check in is from 3pm on the day of arrival. Please contact us prior to your arrival if you will be arriving later than 6pm to arrange a late check in. Please note all credit cards are pre-authorised at $300 on arrival. If you do not have a credit card an additional $300 bond will be held against your EFTPOS or debit card. No cash can be accepted for the bond. This could take up to 7 working days to reverse. Please note a valid ID is required to be presented on check-in.
CHECK-OUT
Check-out time is by 11am. Reception is open from 8am. There is someone available from reception 24 hours.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If your reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to 3pm on the day of arrival, we reserve the right to charge. Credit card details are held on file as guarantee of reservation. Glam camping bookings are subject to a different cancellation policy. Please view them here.
PETS
Pets are not permitted, with the exception of medically certified guide dogs. We recommend Kuri Country Club if you are looking for a place to board your pet - they are just down the road from Castaways Resort. Find out more here.

Please note there is limited cellphone coverage in some areas of the resort.

GENERAL
By making a reservation at Castaways Restaurant & Bar, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These may be subject to change at any time without prior notice.
All bookings are subject to availability.
RESERVATIONS
We recommend that bookings be made in advance to secure your preferred date and time.
A booking confirmation email or message will be sent to the email address or phone number provided at the time of booking. Please check the details carefully and notify us of any discrepancies immediately.
For large group bookings (8 or more), a deposit or credit card authorization may be required to secure the reservation.
DEPOSIT POLICY
A non-refundable deposit may be required for group bookings, special events, or during peak periods. The deposit will be applied toward your final bill.
If no deposit is received within 48 hours of making a reservation, Castaways Restaurant & Bar reserves the right to cancel the booking.
CANCELLATIONS & AMENDMENTS
For cancellations, we require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Failure to provide notice within this timeframe may result in the loss of your deposit or a cancellation fee.
For group bookings or special events, a minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or changes.
No-shows or cancellations on the day of the booking may be charged at full cost for pre-ordered food or deposit forfeiture.
ARRIVAL TIME
We ask that you arrive on time for your reservation. If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible. We will hold your table for a maximum of 15 minutes. After this time, your table may be released to other guests.
If you arrive late without prior notification, we cannot guarantee your table and may need to reallocate it.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
While we endeavor to accommodate all dietary requirements and other special requests, these must be made known to us at the time of booking. We cannot guarantee that all requests will be met, but we will do our best.
Please notify us of any allergies or intolerances when placing your order.
PRICING & PAYMENT
All prices are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.
A 15% surcharge applies on public holidays.
Full payment for your booking is required at the conclusion of your dining experience. We accept major credit cards, EFTPOS, and cash.
BYO (Bring Your Own) POLICY
Castaways Restaurant & Bar does not permit guests to bring their own alcohol. We offer a wide selection of wines and beverages for you to enjoy.
LOSS OR DAMAGE
Castaways Restaurant & Bar accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of personal belongings during your visit.
Guests may be held liable for any damage caused to the restaurant property or premises.
HEALTH & SAFETY
To ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, we kindly request that children remain seated and are supervised at all times.
Castaways Restaurant & Bar reserves the right to refuse service to any guest who is intoxicated or behaving in a disorderly manner.
